Have ordered takeaways numerous times from this Indian restaurant which never disappoint. Decide to dine-in today, all the curries are delicious especially butter chicken, definitely one of the best in Melbourne.

Gorgeous food, attentive serviceWe went early on a Saturday night and everything was perfect. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had two different servers and they were both delightful, efficient and helpful. The garlic Naan was lovely and just dripping with butter and garlic. We ordered Kahari Chicken and Beef Vindaloo with coconut rice - the dishes couldn't have been better. We heartily recommend Avatar and will be back again soon.

I made tikka masala a few times at home but first time ordering from a restaurant. I didn’t expect it to be so spicy because I was expecting the British version of it lol Though it was really yummy. It would have been better if it didn’t set fire on my stomach ;)

I catered from Avatar for my husband’s 50th. The food was amazing and a big hit with all my guests!!The restaurant is also a great place to dine in with a beautiful ambience and friendly staff. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for good quality delicious authentic Indian food.
